What we are looking for
NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Assistant who has or is interested in obtaining their Non-Certified Technician certification that likes the challenge of a fast pace setting and working in a team environment. Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant - NCT is responsible for performing patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting.
How you will make an impact
The Medical Assistant - NCT supports the organization with customer service and treating all of our patients with respect and dignity. They provide patient care services in the back office urgent care setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient.
Essential Education, Experience and Skills:
Employed in all states other than Arizona
Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; and
1. The medical assistant candidate has completed an APPROVED Medical Assistant Training Program*.
“Approved medical assistant training program,” means a program accredited by one of the following two-accreditation organizations:
2. The medical assistant candidate has completed an UNAPPROVED medical assistant training program AND
Successfully passes the medical assistant examination administered by a certifying organization accredited by either the following two agencies:
Certifying organizations accepted are:
3. The medical assistant candidate may be hired if they meet one of the following three (3) criteria within A., or B., or C.
A. The medical assistant candidate completed an UNAPPROVED medical assistant training program AND
(Candidates must complete the All States Except Arizona Medical Assistant Candidate Employment Attestation.)
B. The medical assistant candidate was directly supervised by a maximum of three physician(s), physician group(s), physician assistant(s), or nurse practitioner(s) for a minimum of 2000 hours total (approximately working 40 hours/week for 12 months)*.
(Candidates must complete the All States Except Arizona Medical Assistant Candidate Employment Attestation.)
C. The medical assistant completed a United States Armed Forces medical services training program*.

Non-Certified Technician certification -- required at time of hire or within 6 months of hire date
